Our best loan officer, Lisa, talks about her job and low down payments.

For the past three years, Lisa Lister has been dedicated to helping people get their dream homes through financing. And I’m proud to share with you that she just received an award for being an amazing loan officer. Aside from assisting people with financing for their dream homes, she enjoys developing relationships with various clients, borrowers, realtors, and title officers.

One of Lisa’s admirable qualities is her focus. She’s always been diligent and hits the ground running the moment I hand her purchase agreements or when I introduce her to new clients. For her, every transaction is a challenge to exceed expectations, beat closing deadlines, and ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for the clients. The challenge to do better is what makes her enjoy her work.

As a tenured mortgage loan officer, she also shared some information that can help first-time homebuyers get a low downpayment and a good mortgage. Contrary to what others believe, being a homeowner with a low down payment is still possible. Some options you can avail of include conventional loans with as little as 3% down and even programs where lenders contribute to the down payment. There are also USDA and VA loans for homes requiring 0% down payments.

“Now is the best time to enter the market, and while interest rates may fluctuate, they will eventually come down.”

She also mentioned that now is the best time to enter the market, and while interest rates may fluctuate, they will eventually come down. When that happens, you can always refinance later. Right now, buyers should focus on finding their dream house, and we’ll help you work on lowering the rate in the future if needed.

The application process for someone who wants to buy a house only takes as long as 15 minutes over the phone. During that time, Lisa will discuss options, answer questions, and make sure that clients feel confident moving forward. Once the client is ready, she turns them over to us and gets started on house hunting.
